TRS Yucatán and Grand Palladium Riviera Maya Review

Black TRS Hotels Wristband

I was thrilled to return to Cancun from Oct 27th to Oct 30th to TRS Yucatán and Grand Palladium Riviera Maya just about 90 minutes south of Cancun.

As you may recall, a couple friends of mine who are “Travel Club” members invited me and several other colleagues to enjoy the Grand Palladium, TRS Hotels experience back in March of 2019.

Keep in mind that back in 2019, Southwest Airlines flew from my hometown of Jacksonville to Ft Lauderdale, then to Cancun which made it an easy travel day to and from Cancun. Due to COVID-19, Southwest limited their flights to Cancun. This trip, I flew on Delta to Atlanta, then non-stop to Cancun instead of flying Southwest’s new route of Jax to Houston, to Cancun! That itinerary made for a VERY long travel day for several friends of mine!

Before COVID

My wife Marty and I have sailed over 150 days on Holland America Line, over 75 days on Carnival and a few weeks on Royal Caribbean. I was very skeptical that an “all-inclusive resort experience” would be my cup of tea. As I mentioned previously, after visiting TRS Yucatán and Grand Palladium Riviera Maya back in 2019, I was awestruck by the beauty of the resorts, and impressed with the level of service. In addition, the junior suite where I stayed for 7 days was much larger than even a balcony cabin on Holland America.

From the moment I returned to TRS Yucatán, the staff were very happy to welcome me back. I enjoyed walking around the resorts to see the massive clean-up efforts they were undertaking from Tropical storm Gamma and other weather-related events.

I stayed in an amazing suite in Building 67 of TRS Yucatán.

I was given a super-secret VIP tour of the brand new cenote located just outside the front entrance of TRS Yucatán. This is a perfect venue for a romantic dinner, group event or wedding! Check out my 2 YouTube videos below of the cenote and believe me, it looks amazing at night!

The amazing cenote at TRS Yucatán!

Keep in mind that due to Covid, all restaurants were not open each night, so you had to make reservations early and be aware that you had to be flexible with your dining choice. In addition, the popular Chic Caberet show was closed, but the singers and dancers performed a smaller show just outside the venue most nights.
