Hilton Garden Inn, Fort Lauderdale Airport

As I’ve said time and time again, I highly recommend that you arrive at your cruise port the day before your ship sails. Why?

If you’re flying, you know about the recent issues with TSA officers not being paid, and then calling out sick. This can lead to you missing your flight if you fly in “day of”. If a piece of checked luggage is lost and you fly in day of, you may not have time to purchase new clothes, toiletries or medication.

If you’re driving, especially on I-95, traffic delays are almost a daily occurrence, and there is a chance you may have a flat tire or an other car problem when driving to the cruise port.

I-95 Traffic Jam!

That’s why I always recommend flying in the day before your cruise, and to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn, Ft Lauderdale airport, conveniently located in Dania Beach, Fl.

This hotel is very close the Ft. Lauderdale airport and close to both Port Everglades (Ft Lauderdale) and the Miami cruise ports.

The hotel has parking, shuttle service and breakfast available (ask at the front desk for all the details).

Also, the hotel has a pool, fitness room and hot tub!

I’ve personally stayed at this hotel over 5 times and the service, safety, cleanliness and overall feel of the hotel is amazing.

If you’re traveling with a group or family, this is the perfect hotel for large numbers of folks.

Check out the website for all the details and be sure to book early!
