Cruise Radio is reporting, “Norwegian Cruise Line has deployed a cruise ship to the Bahamas for relief efforts after Hurricane Dorian. Norwegian Breakaway will head to the Bahamas on Thursday, September 5 loaded with supplies and one million dollars.“
Cruise Hive is reporting, “Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line which offers short cruises to the Bahamas is sending a ship for evacuations and to deliver supplies.
Cruise Ship Involved in Evacuations
The cruise line which is based out of Port of West Palm Beach, Florida is sending the Grand Celebration cruise ship to Freeport, Bahamas after being devastated by Hurricane Dorian.
This means the previously scheduled departure from Palm Beach has now been canceled. The ship will depart tonight at 8:00 PM for the Grand Bahama Island which is where Freeport is located.”
ClickOrlando.com is reporting, “Royal Caribbean announced Wednesday it had a ship full of supplies ready to head to the Bahamas which, was hit by Hurricane Dorian as a Category 5 storm.
The cruise line said the ship was filled with of 43,000 water bottles, 10,000 meals, generators and other supplies to help the islands recover from the devastation they face.”
Cruise lines step up
WPTV.com is also reporting that Carnival cruise line is assisting in Dorian relief efforts:
