It’s always a thrill for me to share cruise tips and my insights on News4Jax (WJXT) here in Jacksonville. You can watch the interview by clicking here.
Cruise Radio recently reported, “ A Royal Caribbean passenger who climbed over the railing of a balcony in order to snap selfies was booted from the ship at its next stop. Since then, some have suggested the woman should not be given any more attention. But there’s a reason to make sure as many people read about the incident as possible, even while we avoid naming the shutterbug.”
Along with commenting on the selfie issue, I talked about what can get you kicked off of a cruise ship, when’s the best time to book a cruise, and why it’s best to use a travel agent.
So many times, cruise shoppers will go online or to their local Costco to get a “so-called, “steal of a deal”, yet travel agents have real experience! When you book online or go to Costco, who will give you super-secret tips that will make your cruise experience memorable?
Will your Costco rep share this tip about Half Moon Cay with you? He’s never been there!
In some cases, major cruise lines offer travel “FAM” cruises (cough cough) to give travel agents a unique brand experience that they can share with their clients. Cruise lines who primarily offer webinars instead of FAM cruises are only hurting their sales! Give us hands-on training!
If you’ve been following me for any length of time, you realize that I’ve fallen in love with the all-inclusive resort experience.
Grand Palladium gave over 100 travel advisors like myself a free (we had to pay airfare only) 5-day FAM trip to TRS Coral/Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres. My blog post about my recent all-inclusive resort experience here.
Now I’ve been able to share my passion for all-inclusives with my family, friends and my vast social media audience and I’m booking more resorts!
Thank Grand Palladium!
