Hurricane Delta update regarding Grand Palladium resorts

The Cruise Genius at TRS Coral

If you’ve been following the news regarding Hurricane Delta, you know that two of my favorite resorts were in the crosshairs of the storm. I wanted to share an update regarding Hurricane Delta and the Grand Palladium Riviera Maya/TRS Yucatan and Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres/TRS Coral.

Grand Palladium update from a senior official: “ We are happy to share the latest update on Hurricane Delta.

The good news is that all our Guests and Employees are safe! The gardens and pool areas have suffered minor damages as we expected, but nothing to worry about.

Our amazing Operations Team is getting ready to resume operations today! All passengers who were evacuated from Costa Mujeres to Riviera Maya will be able to return to Costa Mujeres today, transportation will be provided.

As mentioned before, we are resuming operations, so, yes, we are open for business and ready to welcome all passengers arriving today to TRS Coral, Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres, TRS Yucatan, Grand Palladium White Sand, Grand Palladium Colonial & Grand Palladium Kantenah.

Nevertheless, the Safety and well-being of our Guests and employees is our highest priority. We continue monitoring hurricane Delta, and the severe weather policy remains in place for guests unable to arrive or depart, due to flight delays and cancellations in the neighboring airports in the areas which have been, or are about to be impacted.

For that reason, our severe weather policies will remain in effect for the remainder of the 2020 Hurricane season.”

As Hurricane Delta began heading towards the Yucatan peninsula, staff at Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres and TRS Coral moved rapidly to transport guests southward to the Grand Palladium Riviera Maya. In addition, staff worked hard to protect the resorts from the possible incoming wind and rain damage.

It’s great to hear that all the guests and staff are well and that the vacationers can return a very eventful all-inclusive resort experience.
