I’ve been saying it for weeks; You better get to Cancun before European tourists begin arriving. You still have a little time before Europeans come in masses, but first flights from Europe have now arrived in Cancun.
Traveloffpath.com is reporting, “The first flights from Europe are now arriving in Cancun as demand continues to grow for the Caribbean destination.
After more than six months without a single flight from Europe, Cancun welcomed Lufthansa flight LH514 from Frankfurt, Germany with 260 passengers on board.
Lufthansa’s Director General for Mexico, Felipe Bonifatti and Cancun tourism officials welcomed Flight 514 from Frankfurt at the Cancun International Airport on Thursday, October 1st.
Lufthansa will be flying to the sun soaked destination of Cancun twice weekly from Frankfurt and adding a third flight before the end of October.”
Mexico Tourist Card
When you travel to Mexico, it’s best to complete the Mexico tourist card form online before you leave home. It’s critical that you print the card and have it in hand when you approach the customs agent at the Cancun airport. Be sure to keep the part of the card marked for your departure from Cancun.
According to the Mexican National Institute of Immigration(INM), you should file a police report to document the loss or theft of your tourist card, then head to the nearest INM office with your passport or other identification, police report and travel documents. You will be asked to fill in a form, then you will have to go to the bank to make your payment for the replacement of your tourist card, and return to the INM office with proof of payment to complete the process and receive your replacement tourist card. Keep in mind a fee of up to $60 may be imposed for losing the Mexico tourist card.
Cancun Health Questionnaire
You also have to fill out the online Cancun Health Questionnaire the day of your flight to and from Cancun. A bar code will appear on your cellphone to present to officials in the Cancun airport.
