As you know, I have over 150 days on Holland America Line, over 75 days on Carnival, and many days on other cruise lines, but due to the never ending cutbacks and added fees on cruises, I decided to spend a week at the incredible Grand Palladium Resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico.
Two words
All-inclusive. This resort epitomizes the words “all-inclusive”, from food, to drink, to activities, no added fees!
VIP!
If you purchase this vacation online, you won’t get super-secret VIP benefits! You must be a Travel Club member! The benefits are too numerous to mention, but I can tell you first-hand they are amazing!
It’s 8:00 a.m. here, but it seems like the deck chair hogs have grabbed just a few prime pool loungers! Fortunately, there are tons of great chairs at the pool and at the beach, so no worries! The guests must be former cruisers!!!
This resort is perfect for couples, families and multi-generational families! Everyone can do what they want to do, and have a blast!
High Season/Low Season
Just like cruises, you have times of the year when prices are high, and prices are low. We all know that cruise rates are higher during spring break, summer, and holidays. It seems that prices are lower in June at Mexico all-inclusives, but March is higher cost! Keep in mind temps will be blazing in Mexico in July and August, yet it’s very comfortable in March!
Tipping
We’ve all seeing the long line at guest services on the last night of the cruise. We know these cheapskates are removing their gratuities! It’s wrong that hard working crew provide amazing service, yet so many people remove their tips! At all-inclusives, the staff works very hard, but no automatic gratuities are added to your bill. I do highly suggest you tip the staff throughout your stay. They don’t make a lot of money and deeply appreciate your tips, even a buck or two!
