Yes, the Star of the Seas cruise ship is scheduled to be homeported at Port Canaveral, Florida, starting in August 2025. The ship will offer 7-night cruises to the Caribbean and Perfect Day at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s private island in the Bahamas.
Features:
- NeighborhoodsThe ship will have eight neighborhoods, each with its own restaurants, bars, and live entertainment
- DiningThe ship will have over 40 places to eat and drink, including the Lincoln Park Supper Club, Basecamp, and Desserted
- Family-friendly featuresThe ship will have an Adventure Ocean kids club, a waterpark, and a pool
- New technologyThe ship will have a waterproof bracelet that allows parents to track their children’s location
When to expect it:
- The ship’s first sailing is scheduled for August 31, 2025
- The ship’s production began in February 2023 in Turku, Finland

You probably saw the MSC Cruises MSC World America commercial during the SuperBowl
MSC World America is a cruise ship that will sail from Miami to the Caribbean in April 2025. It will be the second World Class ship from MSC Cruises and the first to be dedicated to the US market.
Features:
- Dining: 13 dining venues, including six specialty restaurants, plus fast-casual options
- Bars and lounges: 20 bars, lounges, and cafes, including a mixology bar, coffee bar, and juice bar
- Entertainment: Live concerts, magic shows, circus-style shows, and theatrical productions
- Activities: Luna Park with e-gaming, dance classes, family gameshows, and themed experiences
- Zones: Seven different zones, including a family district, chill out area, and promenade
- Cabins: 19 different categories to choose from, including the MSC Yacht Club
Itinerary:
- The ship will sail in the Caribbean for its inaugural season, with weeklong itineraries that alternate between the western and eastern Caribbean
- The itineraries will include a stop at Ocean Key MSC Marine Reserve, the cruise line’s private island
