Our 7 night cruise on the Carnival Dream is about to begin!
As I’ve mentioned in the past, it’s critical to get to the cruise port a day early.
Granted, I live in Jacksonville, Florida and the Carnival Dream leaves from Port Canaveral.
It’s about 163 miles away (about a 2 1/2 hour drive).
In the past, my wife Marty and I would just jump in the car and head south, but I can’t tell you how many times we’ve been stuck in bumper to bumper traffic on I95!
It takes a ton of stress off to drive leisurely to a hotel, take advantage of a sleep, park and cruise package, and take the free shuttle to the ship!
Marty and I are spending the night at the Radisson Resort at the Port.
