Port Tampa Bay sees record cruise passenger weekends

The Tampa Bay Business Journal is reporting that, “Port Tampa Bay saw a record number of cruise ship passengers in two recent weekends. The port said 19,876 passengers arrived and departed ships the weekend of Feb. 3 and 4, breaking the previous record. Then, last weekend, Feb. 17 and 18, there were a total of 22,960 passengers — another record. The bulk of the travelers arrived on Saturdays for both weekends.”

Congrats to Tampa for their continued efforts to bring more tourism dollars into their community.

I know of one cruise port that cares less about bringing more cruise ships to their city!
