The wait is over, the newest and “cleanest” Carnival cruise ship, the Carnival Mardi Gras arrived in Port Canaveral early Friday morning.
WESH.com in Orlando is reporting, “PORT CANAVERAL, Fla. —Carnival Cruise Line’s newest ship arrives to Port Canaveral on Friday.
The Mardi Gras is the first cruise ship in the Americas to be powered by eco-friendly Liquefied Natural Gas and the first to feature a roller coaster.
The ship is 1,130 feet long and features six themed zones and restaurants from Guy Fieri, Emeril Lagasse, Rudi Sodamin and Shaquille O’Neal.
The ship entered the channel and passed Jetty Park at 6 a.m. before docking around 7 a.m. at Cruise terminal 3, escorted by two other Port Canaveral-based ships.
The Carnival Mardi Gras boasts the first roller coaster at sea.

The next step will be for the CDC and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to come to some agreement on cruising to resume in Florida. The Governor doesn’t want the cruise lines to mandate that only vaccinated passengers can cruise, and must provide proof!
