Unhappy cruise ship workers share their concerns

The Cruise Genius!

Every job had it’s ups and downs, but a few cruise ship workers shared concerns about their jobs to Business Insider.

Speaking as a U.S. Navy veteran, I can tell you that I had no clue of the long hours I would be working while serving on my ships. As a bright eyed 18 year old fresh out of high school, I bought the hype of, “Join the Navy, see the world!” Unfortunately, I forgot my science lesson stating that the world is comprised of 71% water!!! Lots of days at sea!

U.S.S. Samuel Eliot Morison FFG-13.

I’m glad that cruise lines offer jobs to people from the Philippines, Indonesia and other parts of the world. Many of these hard working professionals have told me that they love their jobs and appreciate the opportunity to send their paychecks back home to their families.

I’ve even auditioned for a job as a cruise director with Holland America Line (I’m still available!!!)

Half Moon Cay!

I know the hours would be long, but I would enjoy meeting guests from all walks of life, and the crew that gives these travelers a memorable vacation experience.
