Star Trek Cruise sold out

To boldly go…

CruiseHive.com is reporting, “2022 is already expecting to be a great comeback for the cruise industry, and that also includes the much anticipated charter cruises. Star Trek: The Cruise and the 80s Cruise that will take place on Royal Caribbean’s Mariner of the Seas have sold out.

It’s welcome news for an industry that has remained on hold for more than a year. Cruise lines will need a much-needed boost to make up for the loss. This follows a huge demand for 2022 bookings as people are ready to take to the seas as the pandemic goes away.”

I’ve always been a big Star Trek fan. I met Leonard Nimoy when I was 10 years old, and I took my son Tim and his friend Peter to a small Star Trek Convention in Jacksonville many years ago.

Commander William Riker

It was great to be in the front row when Jonathan Frakes, aka Commander William Riker stepped out to meet the crowd!

Over the last few years, “theme” cruises have really been popular.

A cruise unlike any other

In 2015, I sailed on Groove Cruise. It was an experience that literally changed my life. If you’ve ever heard of Electronic Dance Music, (EDM), you know that it’s high energy.

Groove Cruise Founder Jason Beukema

I met EDM legend Darude of Sandstorm fame and enjoyed the company of thousands of #GCFAM who loved the music and comradeship.

Darude!

Blake Shelton!

I also sailed on the Blake Shelton and Friends cruise. I met several country stars including Blake, Lee Brice, Neal McCoy and others.

Theme cruises are great because for the most part, they are adults-only.

You will meet people from all over the world who share your interest and passion.
