I’ve had the opportunity to visit TRS Yucatán and Grand Palladium Riviera Maya several times in the past, and I’m glad to report that I just returned from a 10 day stay at the resort. I attended a very romantic wedding, and a group event that was productive and enjoyable.
First, I want to give a shout-out to Omni Airport Parking which is located very close to the Orlando International airport (MCO). Flying to Cancun from Jacksonville, Fl can end up being an all day event, so I chose to drive 2 hours to Orlando to catch my non-stop flight. This was my 2nd time flying “discount” Spirit Airlines. I do have to commend all the flight attendants and airport staff for friendly and amazing service. I will say I don’t know where Spirit Airlines bought their aircraft seating, but it was flimsy and very uncomfortable. I’m glad that my flight was under 2 hours long to, and from Cancun!
Arriving in Cancun
I arrived at 2:20 p.m. on a Tuesday afternoon, and I loved it! It took me a total of 5 minutes to walk off the plane to the immigration area. Once I got there, it took another 5 minutes to breeze through immigration and head to baggage claim! I’m very glad that I had all my documentation in hand, and I know the customs agent was happy as well!
Transportation to Grand Palladium White Sand
The most frustrating part of my trip was the 45 minute wait to get on the van to the resort. Many of my friends who were also going to the resort told me that they had to wait up to 90 minutes to board their van to Grand Palladium Riviera Maya.

I was assured that steps are being taken to shorten the wait time, and I’ll be sure to check that out when I return to the resort later this year.
My suite
A couple of my friends exchanged wedding vows at Grand Palladium Riviera Maya. Unfortunately, rain prevented the ceremony from being held at the beach, but the Weddings by Palladium team had “Plan B” ready to go! Carts took the 50 plus wedding party and guests to the Zentropia Spa for the ceremony. The reception dinner and dancing was very memorable!

I enjoyed amazing meals at many of the restaurants at TRS Yucatán and Grand Palladium Riviera Maya. Helios was my “go-to” venue where I could eat amazing dishes throughout the day, including refreshing drinks! The staff at Helios and all the restaurants and bars were perfect!
Chic Caberet
I’ve enjoyed the Chic Caberet dinner and show many times, and enjoyed it again during this vacation!
COVID Test
One of the top questions I get is, one or both nostrils? Yes, only one nostril and it wasn’t painful!
In conclusion, I will say the transportation back to the airport arrived on time to the resort. The van had ice-cold air, was very clean and arrived at the airport in a little over an hour. Granted, I left the resort at 7 a.m. so I guess traffic was very light.
I want to say thanks to the incredible ladies and gentlemen at TRS Yucatán and Grand Palladium Riviera Maya. I’ll be returning again later this year!
