The Covid pandemic caused many all-inclusive resorts in Cancun to close, but I received word today that the Grand Palladium Riviera Maya and TRS Yucatan will be reopening on October 2nd!
I had the pleasure to visit the Grand Palladium Riviera Maya in March of 2019. Two of my friends who are Travel Club members invited me to join their family for a week long vacation.
Speechless
If you know me, either personally or from my social media channels, you probably think that I’m able to communicate effectively. Upon arriving at the Grand Palladium Riviera Maya all-inclusive resort, my friends asked me what I thought. I pointed to my mouth, unable to speak.
36 hours after enjoying the luxury accommodations, the beach, the incredible service and the tropical atmosphere, the words came to me. “Garden of Eden!”
As I reported on my blog recently, the CDC has ceased recommending you self-quarantine for 14 days after returning from an overseas vacation, so no excuse not to travel to Cancun! https://www.thecruisegenius.com/cdc-drops-recommendation-for-14-day-quarantine-after-traveling/
TRS Yucatan is the adults-only resort. The infinity pool is beyond description. Frequent “water aerobics” classes are held in the pool to help you stay fit. It’s hard to compare TRS Coral (Costa Mujeres) and TRS Yucatan. They are both 5-star resorts that deliver amazing service, luxury accommodations and the signature “Helios” restaurant. Helios is an “Ibiza-style” eatery where you can eat and drink, “al fresco”, or you can dine inside in the air conditioning! TRS Coral is open now, but you’ll have to wait until October 2nd to experience TRS Yucatan!
Grand Palladium Riviera Maya (near Playa del Carmen) is the “family-friendly” resort which is a short walk from TRS Yucatan.
There are 3 hotels that comprise Grand Palladium Riviera Maya; Kantenah, White Sands and Colonial. All 3 are equally impressive and are close to one another. I stayed in Colonial during my vacation in March, 2019 and enjoyed the large pool and beach. The best part about the beach is that you will find lots of shade!
A Spa unlike anything you’ve experienced on a cruise!
Zentropia is the name of the amazing spa at the resort. You can enjoy a wide range of treatments from massages, the lazy river and “wet areas” including hot tubs and saunas. Check out the video below, then shoot me an email at slara1961@gmail.com to book your all-inclusive resort vacation!
