The benefit of living in Jacksonville, Florida is having a cruise ship 15 minutes from my house.
When the ship leaves on Saturday, I drive down to the St John’s River and watch the ship go by. Yeah, I have my flip cam and post the video to my YouTube Channel (see link on the right hand side of this page).
I love cruising because I am a Navy veteran. I was a radarman in the Navy back in the 80’s and enjoyed being out to sea.
Of course cruising on a cruise ship is 100% different!
Great food, entertainment and better living quarters than back on the U.S.S. Samuel Eliot Morison (FFG-13) and on the U.S.S. Ticonderoga (CG-47).
