I remember driving over the Dames Point Bridge this past Thursday and seeing our Jacksonville-based Carnival Elation docked at JaxPort.
My wife and I have sailed from Jacksonville many, many times.
It always brings a smile to my face seeing so many people either enjoying their first cruise or returning to a Carnival cruise.
Last night we heard word that a passenger from that Thursday sailing fell from her balcony and passed away.
